A recent increase
Date Posted: 12/19/2013
We have some good news. Over the past 2 weeks we have seen about a 200% increase in Travel Nurse and Allied Health Professional jobs. It seems this increase in need is happening all over the country. Obviously, this is welcomed news for us all.
Also, with layoffs happening to many per diem staff in the south, our phone has been ringing off the wall. I can't begin to tell you how many wonderful nurses from all specialties have contacted us. You should see these resumes. It's been a long time I've seen such qualified people looking for an opportunity. Many are ready to travel for the first time. We've already placed many of them and have several others ready to interview in the next few days.
Hudson Staffing is very excited to show the massive benefits that traveling nurses receive. It's one of the best parts of owning a travel nurse agency. When these nurses get to see a check that they never dreamed of hit their bank accounts. We love those phone calls of joy!
Lets hope this trend continues. It's an exciting time right now. A time that we hope is here to stay. Now, we aren't counting on it. We've seen this song and dance before. But hopefully we are headed back to the glory days where our RN's could almost name their price!! No doubt those days are coming but we aren't sure if it starts now or if it may still be a little while out.
If you are on the fence about taking the leap to becoming a traveling nurse...now may your time! It changed my life and it has changed many lives of nurses and allied health professionals who chose to work with Hudson Staffing as a traveling nurse or therapist. Give us a call. Lets look at what's out there.
We want to thank all of our nurses, past and present, for working with us. We also want to give a special thanks to those nurses who have passed our name on to others. That's how we continue to grow at a very fast pace. And thanks to all of those new nurses who are ready to give us a chance to show them what travel nursing with Hudson Staffing is all about.

Traveling Nurse Agencies
Date Posted: 12/9/2013
There are many Traveling Nurse Agencies in America. Over 300 companies to give you an idea of how competitive this market can be. How do Travel Nurse Companies such as Hudson Staffing stay alive? Our nurses, of course!
We've had some of the most outstanding RN's and Allied Health travelers in the past 11 years. We couldn't be more proud of the ones we call family. So many of our traveling nurses have worked for us for a long time. Our turnover ratio is very low, one of the lowest percentages in the Travel Nurse Staffing world. We believe it's because we treat our Traveling Nurses and Traveling Allied Healthcare workers like friends instead of employees. We know we couldn't be one of the best without having some of the best!!
Hudson Staffing is a leader in Travel Nurse Jobs. We have opportunities available in all 50 states and even some US territories from time to time.
Travel Nurse Jobs
Date Posted: 11/14/2013
There are still many needs across the United States for Traveling Nurses. The Travel Nurse Job market has been up and down since the beginning of the stock market crash of 2008. The last month has been especially busy for Hudson Staffing.
The majority of traveling nurse and allied health jobs are still found west of the Mississippi and New England. You can add Florida to that list during the fall and winter. That's obviously related to the "Snowbird Effect".
We get so many calls from Traveling Nurses looking for assignments in the great South. Usually, there aren't many to choose from. Why is that? We believe it's because the hospitals are forcing those RN's to work harder, with more patients, and more responsibilities. To me, that's dangerous and sad.
The good news! The travel nurse industry was booming before the market crash. You could basically tell an agency where you wanted to go and in a lot of cases...name your price. Will those days return? Some say no. We say it has to. If you study the numbers like we do, you will know about the huge part of the Nursing and Allied Health workforce that is made up of "baby boomers". These guys are all getting close to their retirement. Once the majority of these guys are off enjoying their golden years (well deserved we would like to add) there's a huge void already. That is not to mention the increased hospital censuses that are on the way. As the "baby boomers" get older, common sense tells you that more and more will need to visit hospitals. This equals more patients and less nurses on it's own.
Please watch for more blogs about Traveling Nurses and Allied Health Professionals in the future. We will post some of those numbers we talked about soon...
